VLF-34 Portable high-voltage test System.
In recent decades, the method of testing cross-linked polyethylene insulated cable lines with increased voltage at ultra-low frequency has gained popularity due to its greater efficiency and gentler approach. This method allows detecting insulation defects without the risk of damage and formation of partial discharges. The installation presented below will allow you to automatically test SPE-insulated cables with LF voltage of 0.1, 0.05 and 0.02 Hz.
KiloVolt’s VLF-34 is designed for testing high-voltage power cables with a nominal voltage of 3, 6 and 10 kV. A large capacitive touch LCD display with an intuitive interface displays the parameters of the test process. The well-thought-out design in a single unit has a number of advantages over the form factor of the control unit and the high-voltage unit, namely: convenient transportation, small dimensions, reduced influence of interference in the connecting cables, low weight (30 kg), which makes it convenient to work as in field conditions and at the substation.
