Digital High-Voltage Testing Systems HVT-D series
The main factor for the efficiency of any power system is the reliability of each component in this complex structure. By reliability, we mean the predictable electrical strength of insulation in power transmission cables, insulators, busbars, and other electrical equipment that operates continuously under high voltage. To professionally assess the insulation strength before commissioning new equipment and for post-repair checks, a series of tests as per the requirements for the tested equipment must be conducted. For these tasks, Kilovolt offers a range of digital high-voltage testing systems with different power ratings. Each of these systems is designed for high-voltage insulation testing of power cables with DC voltages up to 100 kV (or 140 kV), as well as testing solid dielectrics with AC sinusoidal voltages up to 100 kV rms.
These systems are mobile, meaning they can easily be moved both inside a building and transported to the testing site, as the system consists of two separate units. These include a mobile control stand and a portable high-voltage transformer, which may also have its own transport trolley. The high voltage (up to 140 kV) and the sufficient power of these testing systems (5 kV*A, 7.5 kV*A, 17.5 kV*A) allow for insulation testing across a wide range of high-voltage electrical equipment.
Thanks to the use of an industrial computer from the Siemens S7-200smart series in the control stand, which uses a special processor with high data processing speed, the system’s ease of use has been elevated to a new level. Here, users can pre-set testing parameters before conducting the tests, such as: type of test voltage, voltage ramp-up rate on the object, test voltage holding time, maximum allowable output current of the regulator, and leakage current on the test object. The system then performs the tests automatically. Despite this, at any stage of the test, the user can make manual adjustments. Additionally, the entire testing process is displayed on the screen in the form of real-time voltage and current graphs. The system can save the test results in memory and generate reports. The console is equipped with an Ethernet interface, allowing it to interact with other processor modules, touchscreens, and computers within a network.
Due to its high consumer qualities, along with its high precision and resistance to external interference, the HVT-D series high-voltage testing systems offered by Kilovolt are an excellent solution for successfully completing all your daily production tasks.
